Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you safe and well as you adjust to a new normal in the face of COVID-19. As an organization with a mission to improve the lives of women, girls and their families in Chester County, we are heartbroken by the impact COVID-19 has already had — and will continue to have — on our communities.

However, we remain encouraged by local, regional and global efforts to combat and overcome this crisis together. In the face of such a daunting challenge, we recognize that every one of us has a role to play.

This pandemic has only highlighted the critical roles that non-profit organizations hold and emphasized the need for supports like paid leave, affordable health and child care, and family-friendly workplace policies for all Chester County families. Additionally, the closure of schools, small businesses, and community centers will put further strain on families. Individuals are now faced with trying to secure childcare, maintain employment, provide nutrition for their family, and have access to healthcare. CCFWG will continue supporting our non-profit partners and advocating for equitable solutions to pressing issues we all face.

In times of uncertainty, our family, friends, supporters and community members are our greatest assets. Please continue to take care of yourself, take care of one another, and take the necessary personal precautions to keep our community healthy and safe in the weeks and months ahead.

In solidarity,
