‘Votes for Women’ mural project

CCFWG is thrilled to announce that we have unveiled our ‘Votes for Women’ mural in partnership with the West Chester Borough Public Arts Commission (PAC) and Zukin Realty. The mural is located at 119 E Market Street in the West Chester Borough. It highlights important milestones in the history of women’s suffrage, as well as pays homage to current women of the movement and the future female leaders who will carry on their legacy. The PAC’s “Call for Art ” received several mural design submissions, and ultimately, the mural selection committee chose Kendra Beitzel’s design. Kendra designed the mural to embrace the history of women’s suffrage and draw passersby in with bold and engaging imagery, so that the “audience can see themselves” represented in the mural.
