COMMUNITY LEADERS JOIN CHESTER COUNTY FUND FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS

(West Chester) July 19, 2016 — The Chester County Fund for Women and Girls is pleased to announce the appointments of Ingrid Tomlinson, Kathy Weber and Denise Wine to its Board of Directors. These women have unique professional and philanthropic perspectives, and the Fund is fortunate to have worked with them in many capacities throughout the years. By engaging new leaders, the Fund is expanding its effort to make lasting change for women and girls in our community.

Ingrid Tomlinson has been involved with the Fund for many years. She has served on the Grants Allocation Committee and she has volunteered on the Making a Difference Luncheon in many capacities including Day of Co-Chair. When Ingrid isn’t volunteering she spends her time as a professional photographer. She spent twelve years as a senior photographer at QVC working within the company and with their vendors on many retail divisions. She currently works on free-lance assignments for a variety of companies.

Kathy Weber has been an active volunteer of the Fund since 2008. She has served on the Grants Allocation Committee twice and is now a member of the Making a Difference Luncheon and Grants Policy Committee. This past year, she stepped up as the Sponsorship Chair for the Making a Difference Luncheon Committee. Kathy is a thirty year resident of Chester County and has been an active volunteer with many of her sons’ school related activities, including eight years with Art Goes to School and ten years with the Downingtown East Football Association.

Denise Wine recently served as Co-Chair for the Making a Difference Luncheon. She also served on the Grants Allocation Committee. Denise was recently co-chair for Uptown! Entertainment Alliance Fall Fundraiser and co-chair of the Chester County Women of Achievement Awards benefitting the March of Dimes for four years. She is currently an advisor to The Hamels Foundation, and a board member of the West Chester Rotary Club. Denise is a Financial Advisor.

The Chester County Fund for Women and Girls leads and unites the community through philanthropy and advocacy to ensure that women and girls have resources and opportunities to thrive. For more than 18 years, the Fund has raised awareness about the critical needs of women and girls, and has awarded over $2 million to 65 non-profit organizations.
