This fall marks the 10th class of the award-winning Girls Advisory Board (GAB), and the Fund is seeking a part-time GAB Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator is responsible for organizing and implementing all aspects of the Fund’s girls grantmaking program and works primarily with the Fund Grants Manager as well as the GAB Planning Committee.

This part-time position is approximately 15 hours per week for 20 weeks from August 1st until December 15th, with some evening and weekend time required. Approximately seven Girls Advisory Board meetings run from early September until early December. Highlights of the job include facilitating meetings with high school-age girls, refining grant guidelines and priorities, guiding discussion around proposal review and coordinating site visits.

Heidi H. McPherson, president of the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls, has announced that she will step down from her position in late 2013. A transition committee made up of board members has been formed to oversee the selection of an executive director for the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls. With ample notification of McPherson’s departure, the Fund has a transition plan timeline in place. We are pleased to carry out our mission under Heidi’s leadership during the upcoming months and are eager to embark on the Fund’s next chapter.

The executive director leads and manages the Fund’s finances, donor relations and grantmaking initiatives in addition to direct oversight of the Fund staff. This individual will serve as the primary advocate for the Fund’s mission in which we envision a county in which all women and girls have access to resources and opportunities for economic freedom, well- being and security. The executive director will report directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for implementation of the strategic plan for the Fund as approved by the Board. Successful applicants will have seven (7) or more years of fundraising and grantmaking (or comparable) experience and will have served in a leadership position within their current or previous organizations.
